Claude Code Adoption Training

Lightbridge Automation Claude Code Adoption Training is a hands-on program that teaches engineering teams to run Claude Code safely on a real codebase: setup, prompting for code tasks, permission and review discipline, and CI integration. It runs as a cohort-based program, scoped to your team, taught by practitioners who run Claude Code on production codebases.

Training curriculum

Four modules, sequenced from first task to team-wide convention. Every module pairs a concept with a working session against a real codebase.

Module 1

Setup and Onboarding

Choosing the right surface, terminal, desktop, browser, or editor, for the task at hand, and standing up a first CLAUDE.md so the agent starts every session with accurate project context instead of none.

Module 2

Prompting for Code Tasks

Framing a task so the agent scopes it correctly: orient, plan, execute in short loops, and verify by running tests rather than trusting the diff on sight. The habits that separate a productive session from a runaway one.

Module 3

Permissions and Review Discipline

Scoping what the agent may touch, reading a diff critically before accepting it, and the review habits that catch a plausible-looking but wrong change. Building the audit trail a security review will ask for.

Module 4

Team Conventions and CI Integration

Turning a repeatable task into a skill, a standard that must always hold into a hook, and a shared capability set into a plugin. Wiring Claude Code into pull-request review and CI workflows without losing human accountability for what ships.

Grounded in the same conventions we document and build.

The curriculum draws on the same CLAUDE.md, skill, hook, and plugin conventions Lightbridge Automation documents for engineering teams evaluating Claude Code, and the same discipline the custom AI development practice applies when it builds a production skill or plugin for a client. For the underlying concepts, see the explainers on what Claude Code is, what a Claude Skill and Plugin are, and what MCP is.

Taught by practitioners who run Claude Code on production codebases.

Lightbridge Automation instructors use the same setup, review, and CI conventions they teach, not slideware built for a classroom.

Common questions

What is Claude Code Adoption Training?
Claude Code Adoption Training is a hands-on program that teaches engineering teams to run Claude Code safely and effectively on a real codebase: setup and onboarding, prompting for code tasks, permission and review discipline, CI and workflow integration, and the CLAUDE.md, skills, hooks, and plugin conventions that keep an agent consistent across a team. It is delivered as a cohort-based program, with format and duration scoped to your team, taught by practitioners who run Claude Code on production codebases.
Who should attend Claude Code Adoption Training?
This program is built for software engineering teams adopting Claude Code or a similar coding agent, including individual contributors, tech leads, and the engineers who will own the shared CLAUDE.md and any team skills or hooks. Participants should already work in a codebase day to day. No prior agent experience is required; the program starts from first principles before moving into team conventions and CI integration.
How is this different from the AI Agents Bootcamp?
The AI Agents Bootcamp teaches engineers to design and build autonomous agent systems: the agent loop, multi-agent orchestration, and production observability for agents your team ships to others. Claude Code Adoption Training is narrower and more immediately practical: it teaches a team to adopt Claude Code itself as a daily development tool, safely and consistently, on the codebase they already maintain. Teams building agent products take the bootcamp; teams that want their engineers using Claude Code well take this program. Some teams take both.
What topics does the curriculum cover?
The curriculum covers the surfaces Claude Code runs on and which to choose for a given task, effective prompting and task framing for code work, permission scopes and review discipline so changes stay safe to accept, a shared CLAUDE.md as the team-level onboarding document, turning repeatable tasks into skills and standards into hooks, and wiring Claude Code into pull-request review and CI workflows without losing human accountability for what ships.
Is the training hands-on?
Yes. Participants run Claude Code against a real or representative codebase from the first session: drafting a CLAUDE.md, completing scoped tasks with the agent, reviewing and accepting or rejecting the resulting diffs, and building a first skill or hook for a workflow their team repeats. The program favors working sessions over slides.
Does the training cover permissions and code review safety?
Yes, and it is a core module, not an aside. The program covers scoping what an agent is allowed to touch, reading a diff critically before accepting it, the review habits that catch a plausible-looking but wrong change, and the audit trail a team needs to show a security reviewer how Claude Code is actually being used. The goal is a team that moves faster without lowering its review bar.
Can Claude Code Adoption Training be delivered on-site or virtually?
Yes. Lightbridge Automation delivers this training on-site at your location, virtual live over video with the same exercises and interactivity, or as a hybrid for distributed teams. The exercises, curriculum, and practitioner-led format stay the same across all three delivery modes.
What do participants receive after the training?
Participants receive a Lightbridge Automation certificate of completion, a starter CLAUDE.md template and review checklist they can adapt to their own repository, the skills and hooks built during the exercises, and post-program access to the exercise environment for continued practice.
